1889 is an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community which seeks to create understanding and friendship between Muslims and non-Muslims across our great country
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the embodiment of true Islam which stands for peace, love and respect between all mankind. The motto of the Community is ‘love for all, hatred for none’
The Community was founded in 1889 in India by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. He laid claim to being the Promised Messiah whose advent was prophesised by The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
The Community’s objective is to be exemplary in building a living relationship with God, in championing peace, in serving humanity, and in standing against all incorrect beliefs attributed to Islam

True Islam
If you’ve seen or heard things about Islam that concern you, we understand. Unfortunately, some Muslims, and indeed some non-Muslims, deliberately or ignorantly expound beliefs that have no basis whatsoever in Islam, and do great damage to a religion whose name literally means ‘peace’.
Watch this short five minute video to learn about True Islam.
